For years a baker has been making novelty tarts shaped like pig and calling them “pig cakes.” Now the local idiot says “The fact is that piece of food needs to be properly described so that the consumer can tell what it is.
"There's nothing wrong with using other names but it must be accompanied by the true name of the food.”
This is the type of person who will regulate the world if given a chance and think they’re doing a good thing.
I’m beginning to believe everyone in England with a bit of authority has let it go to their collective heads. These people are morons.

Do I agree—well not totally and that is sad in itself. I do think NASCAR will help Jr. and the 24 when ever possible—any time any place anywhere.
However, what they really want is close races at the end and they will throw the heck out of flags for non-existent debris to get it. However, if the 24 is leading I’m not sure the big one will cause a flag to fly.
Sorry I feel this way but it is my opinion and is one of the reasons I’ve almost stopped caring about NASCAR—almost like the WWE except with les steroids and more cars.

I know they say the fee is for storage but if you have kept up over the last few years the police in the UK have been following a trend. That trend is away from the safety of regular people and toward more coddling of criminals and also the work of the thought police. Read the log for the one where they investigate a 12 year old for using the word gay in an email—
Really these people must be crazy I can see now how over the years things change—sort of like in Fahrenheit 451.
Looks like in the next two generations the role of the police in England will be to protect the criminals.

Sorry just wanted to give NBC a taste of what real decision makers get from them all the time.

I like these because the restaurant question brings back memories of family now long gone.
1. I guess I would mention the Super Sandwich Shop—located on the Bessemer Super Hwy in Wilkes[sp] gone now but it is still the standard I use to measure BBQ and fries. The other would be the Bright Star in Bessemer—still going strong—Sunday after church was wonderful and we ate there a lot during the week also—it wasn’t as expensive then. I learned I like lamb after trying a Sunday special.
2. Can’t remember the name of the park but before it got filled with official ball fields we used to play sand lot baseball there. I lived on the top of a hill without a good ball yard so we would ride our bikes and play with whoever was there—I still love baseball.
3. If I had to pay then it was not much to see a double feature at the State Theater on 18th street in Bessemer Al. State was the lower rent one in town and Saturday was double feature day—I still love me some westerns.

This does appear to be a trend. No matter how much one loves the other being in love doesn’t mean that both share the same sleeping preferences. It would seem these preferences tend to narrow as people get older. Things like tolerance to noise, light and temperature become critical for some people. Also not all couples have to wake or retire at the same time.
It will be interesting however, to see the effect on resale value.

He also wants a lock down of the entire campus—is he so stupid that he doesn’t know a campus is like a small city?—yes lock down the city! Put a guard on each door—don’t let anyone move- just how Mr. “know it all” are you going to get this done? There are likely more buildings on a campus than there are security officers—very effective for a lock down—there are probably more doors on the campus that would have to be guarded than there are police in the entire county.
Also you criticize the email warning—just how do you think the university should get the word out? They don’t have a speaker system like in high school this is basically a small contained city.
Get over your self and shut up—you sound like someone in a panic who doesn’t know “jack”. Perhaps you are.

I know I’m a very conservative investor but it’s like some people forgot there is risk associated with any investment-including real estate. I’m sorry for them but really hope no one comes up with a tax the fat guy to help all these other people who did stupid things.

I have a new respect for the new commissioner
Either way he wins. If the union goes along with the suspension then the word gets out to the miscreants. It the unions really pushes an appeal hard they are now weakened in the public and perhaps the players eyes. If an appeal is upheld but not totally overturned he commish gets credit for being tough and the bad guys are put on record.

I mean really, the ads don’t bring in much money. It’s not like they are being given a subsidy for riding—oh they are. Well still tax payers are getting a bargain—there are always a millions good reason some people can find for spending other people’s money. And besides just because they get a subsidy why should they be bothered with ads?

The stay at home mom debate—wouldn’t touch that. It’s the reaction of the author that interests me. She claims she meant no harm and no offense to the stay at homes but seems rather put out that anyone would not follow her advice—she being liberal and smart and all. Her quote about “hitting a nerve” is what I really like. Every time some fool says something and makes someone angry they attempt to blame the people who are angry. Lady is you are as smart and wonderful as you think you should have seen this coming.
Also a bit of advice most people don’t like advice from those pretending to be their betters.

just when did the government have to start justifying the arrest of people breaking the law
This article involves the targeting and round up of illegal aliens with criminal records. The article then moves where the writer wants which is a discussion of how bad it is to target illegals living where the criminals used to be—you know the good illegals.
So my questions is when did the illegal aliens have a right to be here if they don’t further break the law.
I think I know the answer. I had a conversation with a colleague a few months ago and I asked if she believed that everyone in the world “deserved” to be a U.S. citizen. Her answer was that there were people born here that didn’t deserve to be. I think she meant conservatives and those who did not agree with her views on immigration. So I know the type of person who would not agree with arresting people for crime.

They are now demanding that certain groups who are in default be given more time—the threat of lawsuits for some reason is being used. These and similar groups are putting banks into the ol’ catch 22. if you don’t lend to those that might have problems paying back you are a racist and elitist and if you lend to them and then they default you are a predatory lender.

It’s been a busy week—starting with last Friday. The week has been full of meetings, visits to the doctor’s office and church stuff. Not to mention class and grading and such.
Right now I’m intently watching my TB skin test. Never had one before and I need it before I start a round to drugs on the 16th.
Don’t think I have TB as the injection site looks like an “old man” spot.
