Daily Express: The World's Greatest Newspaper :: News / Showbiz :: ‘Ban bacon’ say cancer experts

This is why you have elected governments

And also why the left is so dangerous. Why? Because they are more willing that the right to turn over many things to the “experts”—it’s for your own good you know.

Also another reason the brits are crazy—they are afraid of everything over there—well that is except for things like the threat of terrorism. The experts must be wrong there.

Patriots pummel ’Skins, look ready for Colts - NFL - MSNBC.com

Have things changed or have reporters and announcers become ignorant?

the old way of doing things was that going for it on fourth down was considered fair-- kicking the field goal was considered to be running up the score. Going on fourth down gave the team a chance to stop the play.
Yesterday i heard a number of folks saying this was bad.

Clinton, Giuliani top picks for costumes - Yahoo! News

look at the headline--

This is for scariest costume-- think it would have the same headline if Rudy was winning? Also is it just me or do the people on SNL refuse to do a proper Hillary voice. They seem to take great pride in others but will not do her usual grating voice.

TheHill.com - Internal Dem memo faults party message

It’s always the style and never the substance with some people

They always assume they’re correct but they just aren’t explaining it correctly to the public. Just another example of thinking the public is stupid and needs to be closely led.

Las Vegas SUN: Italian Mobsters in Widespread Decline

An organization in decline.

The crime industry is still going strong but the “Mob” portion or market share has declined. Nothing in business lasts forever and this is just another case. My guess is they failed to keep up with new technology, methods and culture. Also the government spent a lot of time and money to put them away.

NFL's Goodell blasts Comcast | Philadelphia Inquirer | 10/24/2007

I have a solution to your problem Mr. NFL commissioner

Charge less to the cable companies. The NFL is being deceptive in this process. They want the NFL network on the basic tier so every household gets it. They never mention they get revenue two ways from this—a charge per household receiving the network and from potential advertisers.

How about this LOWER YOUR PRICE—then perhaps it will be put on the basic cable. Until then stop trying to make out like you are for the average fan—if you were for the average fan then you wouldn’t have sold out to direct TV with that pay per view package.

Boy the hypocrisy of a fight between the NFL and a cable company is way too much to take without something to drink.

Moviegoers to Hollywood: Don't mention the War|Reuters.ca

Oh—I think you can mention the war

What most of these films have in common is that they aren’t so much movies as political statements. It seems all have a common theme—America bad—third world people always good. However, my guess is that when the analysis gets done it will indicate that the films were masterpieces and the stupid ol American public couldn’t grasp it.

religious left??

No never. They are just trying to do what is right not attempting to get the government to pay for their church work.
It's only those terrible right wingers who will try and get the government to enforce their reading of the gospel.

My legs hurt!!

Second day back at the rec center. I actually did more than the other day and now I’m hurting. Given the inactivity of the last few years and the broken ankle from the summer of 06 my muscle mass has really turned into fat. And fat doesn’t carry much oxygen for my lungs and other places.

Google bans anti-MoveOn.org ads - Examiner.com

is it time to flee Google?

Google does have a political agenda make no mistake about it. if they want to become a far left playground then let them-- for now I'll continue to use the blogging function but might switch the search engine-- it's getting way too driven by their preferences anyway.
\Wonder how negative about Google do you have to get before they censor a blog?

Jimmy Carter calls Cheney a disaster | Politics | Reuters

Mr. Pot meet Mr. Kettle

I've read somewhere that as you get older you lose your ability to monitor yourself. thus you lose inhibitions-- I think this has happened to the former President.
He can't keep his mouth shut. Of course this latest outburst seems to have something to do with Carter protecting another middle eastern dictator-- he does love them so.
